Who actually likes acne? Nobody of course. It's horrible and can make people feel self-conscious and ugly. It's normally associated with the younger generation however people of all ages can feel the horror of acne.

Usually acne is brought about by raging hormones that teenagers have. It's also experienced by women who have hormonal problems during their menstrual cycle and also during pregnanc.

Although it's difficult to get rid of acne 100%, there are some general tips that can be followed to make sure your body has a fighting chance.

First of all you need to look at your diet. If you are eating a lot of greasy junk food then you need to adopt a healthier eating plan. Include fresh fruit and vegetables into your diet and try to prepare food from scratch rather than to buy them pre-prepared.

Drink plenty of water to flush your system of toxins and to allow your body to work well. Drinking tea such as green tea, oolong and redbush are also good ways of getting water into your system. Just make sure you don't add in any sugar otherwise you're cancelling out the benefits.

Be careful about what skin care products are on the market. Although there are many products available for getting rid of acne, they can be very hash for some people. So you might want to start with natural and gentle products such as tea tree, Aloe Vera and lemon juice. If this doesn't do the job you can move onto the other OTC products such as those containing benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid.

If you are looking for a soap to clean your skin and want to choose natural products then there are goat milk soaps on the market which are very gentle. Goat milk contains lots of really good nutrients for your skin such as vitamin A, B, C and D plus iron and fat.

The goat milk soap can also contain other ingredients such as tea tree oil, witch hazel and lavender. You should also remember to use good products to wash your hair because the shampoo will run down onto your face so you don't want to buy anything that will irritate your acne.
